Our phenomenal archive of over 55,000 original swatches dates back to 1982. These swatches, combined with cutting-edge technology and the expertise of CAD-trained artists, enable the company to stay at the forefront of fashion trends.
Under the guidance of the current generation of Managing Partners, Renuka Advani and Sharmila Thapar, Marsil has continued to evolve and innovate, developing beyond traditional embroidery techniques to create unique and contemporary designs. The siblings’ artistic vision and attention to detail have cemented the brand's position as a leading player in the luxury fashion industry.

Marsil, established in 1982, in Mumbai, India, is a leading luxury embroidery house founded by Mona Lalwani. A professionally run family business serving global clients for over four decades, Marsil inspires traditional values with modern business acumen. Marsil’s Founder, Mona Lalwani, with her daughters, Managing Partners Renuka Advani and Sharmila Thapar oversee every aspect of the business, elevating the art of embroidery to weave dialogue across borders. The Marsil group of companies includes Studio MRS LLP which commenced operations in April 2022 in Mumbai. The group has established itself as a global luxury embroidery specialist across the spectrum of hand embroideries, digitized machine embroideries, and manual machine embroideries.
Celebrating the richness and diversity of embroidery, Marsil has mastered the art of surface embellishment, creating timeless pieces that are treasured by discerning clients across Europe, UK and USA.
